TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Artist Jordi Onsu suddenly highlighted the toughest test of becoming a Muslim convert.
Ruben Onsu's younger brother and Sarwendah's former brother-in-law believes that the biggest challenge for them is dealing with the comments and judgment of others.
Although rumors circulated that he had converted, in fact, Jordi Onsu has not converted.
This rumor arose because he frequently uttered phrases related to Islam.
Now, Betrand Peto's uncle is speaking about the experiences of people who choose to convert, whether to convert or apostatize.
As reported on Jordi Onsu's YouTube channel on Wednesday (March 12, 2025), Frislly Herlind's former boyfriend revealed that many people experience pressure from their surroundings and netizens after deciding to convert.
It's not uncommon for close relatives to scorn those who choose this path.
Some even accused the decision of simply seeking sensationalism to increase viewership of their content.
"Some say, 'I'm just looking for sensationalism,' 'I'm just looking for sensationalism, 'I'm just looking for something if I can't do it,' 'I'm just looking for something,' and so on," he said, as quoted by the Banjarmasin Post.
The 31-year-old man deplored their actions.
"I really regret it, actually," he said.
According to Jordi, he isn't afraid of the teachings of his religion, but rather the attitudes of those who like to blaspheme.
"I apologize, I didn't mean to offend any religion, but many of my friends and I have different beliefs, and we agree that we truly believe in their teachings," he explained.
"But what we fear isn't the torment in the grave or the torment in hell, but the torment in this world from our own fellow believers, because there are so many judgmentalists," he continued.
"For example, if someone converts to Islam, then the convert will say, 'Oh, this is it, it's just for viewers, it's just for sensationalism,' just imagine," he continued.
"Then there are those who apostatize to Christianity, for example, there are other comments. Honestly, I'm feeling that way right now, but what I'm afraid of are the people, the followers of other religions," he concluded.
