So this is my somewhat first time really delving into how to use After Effects. I'm familiar enough with it to get around in an amateurish level, since certain freedoms aren't available in Premiere.
So probably the most frustrating thing about the whole process is that the whole thing ended up being too 'quick' and all over the place for my liking. There was really no breathing room/still image to look at, no proper brief moment of pause so the gears in your head just click as you get the visual gag with the joke.
I totally could have edited the sound clips I've used create the necessary breathing room for the entire video but I was so burnt out and tired of fiddling around with new stuff in AE; that I didn't want to go into Audition and back into AE constantly just get the exact timing right.
Eh, whatever, I think it looks decent enough to show to people who like this sorta content. Honestly, the most I've learnt from doing this was how to paint relatively fast compared to what I usually do.
I'm often quite meticulous with my layers in Photoshop and spend a needless amount of time on a single image. So of course I wouldn't want to do that with every shot in here.
Some shortcuts I tested out seemed to work, while some other tricks actually made me put more time into the image.
