There’s something about this place: The towering timbers, majestic views, and fresh, local flavors. Take it all in, make this moment your own.
This is Lied Lodge at Arbor Day Farm. More than just an overnight stay, it is a resort-like experience — where comfort, hospitality, and amenities intersect with history, purpose, and nature.
The connection to nature runs deep, beginning with the first Arbor Day back in 1872. One hundred years later, the Arbor Day Foundation began, becoming a worldwide organization dedicated to planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees. As a program of the Foundation, Lied Lodge provides guests the opportunity to stay, play, eat, and relax, while also supporting important environmental efforts.
Unwind in the cozy nooks and comfortable spaces throughout the nature-inspired setting. Relax with a treatment or massage, take a dip in the indoor pool, gather in the Library Lounge, and experience fresh, seasonal cuisine at Timbers. And that’s just the beginning.
Step outside and the experience truly comes to life. Take a leisurely walk through the woods. Hike toward the orchards and stop for a sweet treat, wine tasting, lunch, and shopping at the Apple House Market. From here, you’ll see the Tree Adventure, home to miles of trails, the one-of-a-kind Treetop Village®, an outdoor classroom, and an indoor education center. Go apple or pumpkin picking in the fall or take a Discovery Ride beginning in the spring. And every visitor to the Tree Adventure takes home a free tree seedling. You also get to experience a piece of history — from the Historic Barns (where we host large group events) to the century-old oak tree to the 52-room Arbor Lodge Mansion. Explore the Mansion and nearby Carriage House and walk the grounds of Arbor Lodge State Historical Park.
Whatever brings you to Lied Lodge — a couple’s weekend, corporate meeting or retreat, wedding, family getaway or reunion — you’ll find it’s a perfect space to connect, relax, and have fun. So, chart your own adventure. Explore everything Lied Lodge and the 260-acre Arbor Day Farm have to offer.
