Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance is defending the Trump campaign after an altercation on Tuesday at Arlington National Cemetery.
Vance, speaking at a campaign event in Erie, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, was asked about the incident and said “apparently somebody at Arlington Cemetery, some staff member, had a little disagreement with somebody and they have turned, the media has turned this into a national news story.”
He instead tried to focus on Walz’s statements about the Minnesota governor’s military record and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in which 13 service members died, for which he blamed Harris.
He called Harris “disgraceful” for not firing anyone for the deaths and then said, “Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won't even do an investigation into what happened, and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up. She can she can go to hell.”
