In this video we talk about the Char-Broil vertical propane smoker and give our review of it. We found that the Char-Broil propane smoker was a great all around choice for anyone interested in getting into the hobby of smoking their own foods. We have tried charcoal, electric, and propane smokers and in our opinion the propane smokers are the most versatile since you can use them at home, at a tailgate party, camping in the middle of no where, and everywhere in between unlike with the electric smokers. And the propane units require less tending to than the charcoal units do in order to maintain a more consistent slow cooking temperature. The Char-Broil propane smoker is even more user friendly due to the fact that you can use wood chunk, wood chips, or wood pellets. This makes finding your favorite type of wood at a cheaper price even easier. You can also gather up and dry out your own maple, cherry, apple, hickory, etc. branches and pieces of wood to chop up and use in one of these smokers. These vertical smokers have plenty of room to cook up enough to feed a family with smoked pork chops, wings, chicken legs, ribs, and other smaller cuts of meet. Or you can take a rack or 2 out and smoke larger items like turkey, duck, whole chickens, briskets, and so on. For those of you just getting started using a smoker we will give you one little tip if you are worried about over cooking your meat. And that tip is to inject the meat with a marinade or BBQ sauce. This will help the meat stay juicier longer and prevent it from drying out as quickly.
