After being diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis, in our long search for pregnancy, we also discovered a genetic mutation in me that would have made this journey, naturally, almost impossible.
In fact, in January we had booked our assisted reproduction program. Despite our fears about embarking on this journey, we were ready to do anything to try to make this dream come true. Then, unexpectedly, despite our constant hope, in October our positive test arrived. We couldn't believe our eyes🥹
We held our breath until the first ultrasound, when we finally saw that little heart beating strongly ❤️
Over the past year, we've received an enormous amount of these messages, people who didn't know our pain and our desires, people who thought they knew what was behind our family or my illness.
That's why this summer, after yet another tearful experience at these comments, we decided to share what lies behind infertility. Our "almost impossible" has arrived. We've been very lucky, but not everyone can say the same, so it's important to think more carefully before saying certain things!
I'll never forget the words of a midwife who, knowing our situation, told us, "This little one is so strong, he really wanted to come into the world." We can't wait to fill you with love, Baby Muffin ❤️
