A hotel worker called 999 after spotting an adult male bringing a girl, appearing to be under the age of 15, into a hotel room in Manchester.
The member of staff, trained through Operation Makesafe, spotted the warning signs of child sexual exploitation and alerted the police.
Officers immediately intervened, breaking into the room to safeguard the victim and arrest the suspect.
We are working with police to roll out Operation Makesafe as a nationwide disruption programme, empowering the hospitality industry to spot and report incidents of exploitation.
We’re protecting victims and relentlessly pursuing their abusers.
