compactlogix transmitting time as ASCII thru serial port
Using GSV, string conversion and concatenation blocks I send the PLC time stamp over the serial port (Channel 0) to Hyperterminal. This is a practice to then create an ADDON function to use it to transmit values to a python program on the PC that can log alarms/events and their timestamp to a MySQL database.
