✅ Fishing report on the Irtysh River (Tyumen Oblast). Zander and pike fishing with a spinning rod and jig from a boat.
👉 Date: September 14-16, 2023.
Fishing location: along the coastal drop-off.
👉 Tackle: Zetrix Exilon EXS-802M spinning rod with a casting weight of 7-28g, Bullit Braid 0.18mm braided line, Shimano Catana 2500 reel.
👉 Lures: edible Keitech versions, about 4 inches long, plus 12-16g jig heads.
👉 Weather: clear and sunny, +7 degrees in the morning, up to 20-22 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, light wind, calm.
✅ On this trip to the Irtysh, we were helped by several spots. At some (the coastal drop-off), we jigged early in the morning and before sunset. At others (sands and dunes), we trolled with German Bandit wobblers.
✅ I didn't stop trolling, as the jigging was very exciting this time. The fierce bites of zander up to almost 3 kg, as well as a bonus pike of 5 kg, were very pleasing.
✅ This trip was very eventful. Interesting things: on the way to the fishing spot, right in front of the car, a moose slowly crossed the road, looked at us leisurely, and then disappeared into the forest; the morning fog was so thick that we had to carefully make our way through the fog to our treasured spots; We saw a flock of swans flying several times; and while trolling, I accidentally pierced myself with a wobbler. Anyway, it'll all be in the movie...
