In 1996, during the filming of the movie Memoria, historians from the CDEC Foundation returned for the first time with Liliana Segre to the site from which she was deported to Auschwitz; on that occasion, they discovered how the mechanism of Platform 21 worked. Almost thirty years later, we are publishing Ruggero Gabbai's video footage documenting that historic moment.
