We Left Everything Behind in Brazil and Now This Happened!
Well folks, we couldn't board the ferry from Spain to Sardinia due to a series of errors, both from the Portuguese immigration control system and the company that operates the ferries. Upon arriving in Europe via Portugal, immigration didn't stamp Saulo's passport, and Grimaldi Lines, the ferry operator, lacking access to the system, wouldn't let him board because without the passport stamp they said they couldn't know his status within the Schengen Area, even though he was within the 90-day tourist period.
This error caused immense disruption and changed our plans for the next 3 months.
Even with this major problem, we decided to completely change our plans and explore other places we had already considered visiting. So stay tuned because our trip is just beginning!
