Jenkins Pipeline vs freestyle projects: Which should you use?
Jenkins Pipeline has a few advantages over freestyle projects. If Jenkins crashes for some reason, Freestyle Projects won't pick right up, but Pipeline Projects will. That's why you need a pipeline! We'll go through a chained freestyle project, then a pipeline project and restart Jenkins to see the behavior.
