Join me for a week of PHONE DETOXING…

From as little as 2-mins a day is all you need! & you can slowly increase this time when it feels right.

Don’t panic, I’m not suggesting you switch your phone off for a whole week as I know this doesn’t work when life is tech-based these days (banking, school apps, etc)!

✨WHY DO THIS?✨
For huge shifts in how much time you have available each day. Here’s an unpopular truth... your phone is a huge distraction & it’s making you feel busier than you actually are!

You think you don’t have enough time in the day but when you eliminate the distraction of your phone (which is engrained behaviour), you’ll find you feel less rushed, stressed & can achieve more!

Plus, you’ll feel more present with your kids & family. Your kids will know they have your full attention, rather than half attention with phone in your hand.

This deepens your love, trust & bond with your kids because they feel heard & like you’re interested in what they want to show or tell you.

It means you’re actually IN THE ROOM! All of you!

Plus, you’ll have more time to play with them & understand the world from their perspective, so you can guide them from where they’re at with their limited experiences.

Phone detoxing is deep & powerful!

✨HOW TO DO THIS✨
Firstly, decide when you’re going to do this, so it fits with your routine. Then you can do it in a variety of ways…
Switch your phone off for a set time (eg. 5 mins, an hour, once you’ve picked the kids up from school).
Turn your social media notifications off for a set time.
Turn your phone on silent for a set time.
Leave your phone in a different room.

Remember, you get to choose how often & which days you commit to!

✨HOW IT’S HELPED ME✨
When my boys started telling me, “Mum, why are you always on your phone?” or “Mum, put your phone down”, I realised that I had a problem. I always hid behind, “I run an online business, it’s work!” & realised I could hide no longer!

When I first started phone detoxing, I kept reaching for my phone to check notifications. I realised it was a subconscious habit & one that I realised I don’t like! But when I checked my phone, I felt liberated that it was turned off. I felt like I could re-connect with what’s going on around me.

Over the summer holidays, I took 2.5 weeks off social media & for the first time in years, I experienced boredom one afternoon! Because I wasn’t constantly thinking about taking photos or what to post on socials, & I didn’t get sucked up in the scroll!

My boredom meant I got to play more games with my boys & I thoroughly enjoyed feeling present & having an impromptu laugh with them.

In those 2 weeks, we enjoyed many things I’ve wanted to do but didn’t have time for, such as painting. Plus, we enjoyed in-the-moment things my boys wanted to do like make a wire figure or go to the skate park. We had so much fun.

Phone detoxing has helped me re-connect with what & who is most important to me, & created time for new experiences.
