What is a Tenno?
I ask not what body lies beneath their metal frame, I ask makes a Tenno such?
A Tenno is the embodiment of the past. A Tenno is life and form given to history.
Within the mind of a Tenno there is knowledge of sights – people, places, times – that have been lost to all others and will never be seen again. The mind of a Tenno is a mind that has seen the very essence of the universe, the very fabric of existence, and has been forever changed by it.
There is beauty in this beyond what we can see. There is poetry in this beyond what we can sing. There is so much within them, so much to what they are.
If you look upon a Tenno and see only a creature of violence, a soldier, a weapon, a mercenary, then you see only your own darkness reflected. A Tenno may raise swords, a Tenno may ready guns, but beneath the frame that holds those tools is a mind of culture and artistry.
Meditate on this, study the works of Tenno that have been painted with brush, not with blade, and see for yourself the beauty that lies beneath the shell.
