The De Havilland DH. 98 "Mosquito" is a British multi — purpose bomber, a night fighter of the Second World War, which was in service with the Royal Air Force. In the design of the aircraft, a thick three-layer skin was used with external layers of plywood and internal layers of balsa with spruce inserts for strength, pasted over with a cloth, which allowed achieving the required strength with a low weight of the structure.
