How to Connect Wireless (Bluetooth) Mouse & Keyboard to TV with AndroidTV?
Connecting a mouse, keyboard or touchpad to a TV is not unusual today. Manufacturers themselves encourage you to do this and increase the capabilities of your device. Is it really a good idea? I am so on.
Personally, I do not use a mouse because I think that for working with the HOME screen and most compatible with the AndroidTV application, it is enough just a pilot. But I have a connected Bluetooth keyboard that makes it very easy for me to use KODI, YouTube and VEVO. It also lets you quickly find interesting apps on Google Play. Honestly, if it were not for the fact that I filmed these films, I really did not have the keyboard.
The keyboard does not replace pads and that is very important. Yes, in some games it will be more comfortable than a pilot, but it's still a normal indicator.
A lot better idea is to buy a touchpad keyboard when we have 2 in 1. Although the touchpad itself is not so much needed.
Why then do I talk about it and show it? A mouse or touchpad can be irreplaceable and much needed first and foremost in two situations: when we use a web browser on a TV and ... when we install applications incompatible with AndroidTV (I mean apps outside of Google Play TV).
A lot of applications work, but because of their compatibility, they can not be controlled or the control is limited to several options. The mouse, the touchpad or just the cursor in this case always work and allow full support for any application. Eg Messenger, Skype, WhatsUp, HBO GO and more. It's very comfortable.
Of course, the alternative to the mouse and keyboard is simply to use the application on your phone or tablet, which has the function of a remote control, flicker, touchpad and keyboard. However, this requires additional equipment and keeps it in continuous connection with the TV. What if we take a tablet or a phone to work or go to the toilet - we still do not have control over the TV, except the remote control.
The best set? Keyboard + remote control or keyboard with touchpad + remote control. If you frequently use the HOME screen then also the pad will be a great choice, eg Dual Shock from PS4.
