Raffi Hakopian (16 Dec 1932 - 28 Feb 2015) was an Georgian-born Armenian violinist and tar player. Perhaps best known outside of the Caucasus for his work alongside Leonard Cohen, Hakopian was mostly self-taught, and his career spanned over 60 years, bringing traditional Armenian music together with a variety of other genres.
