Creators have been asking for broader access to verification, account support, and more features to increase their visibility and reach, and Meta Verified aims to fulfill these requests. The verified badge confirms the authenticity of the account and verifies it with a government ID. Proactive account monitoring protects against impersonators targeting people with growing online audiences. Access to a real person is available for common account issues, and increased visibility and reach are provided through prominence in search, comments, and recommendations. Additionally, exclusive features are available to help creators express themselves in unique ways.
Meta Verified will be available for purchase in Australia and New Zealand for (USD) $11.99 on the web and (USD) $14.99 on iOS and Android. Facebook and Instagram will test this new offering to determine what is most valuable before releasing it to the rest of the world.
