In today’s video, we will be going over how to Redact images using the Watcher. The Watcher feature monitors a specified folder so that when files are added to it, the Redaction function applied to that Watcher is performed on the files automatically.
To begin, hover over the Watcher tab on the right side of the Workspace and pin it so that the Watcher Panel is easily accessible.
Next, select the “Add Folder to Watch” icon at the bottom of the Watcher Panel.
Here you can name your Watcher and use the “Browse” buttons to choose an input folder where you will place the images you want Redacted and an output folder where CaseGuard Studio will place the Redacted copies of the images when it is done performing the Redaction operation.
If you want the option to manually review the Redactions placed for editing purposes, click the “Keep History Files for Manual Review” button.
Select “Redact Video/Image” from the “Operation” drop-down menu.
Click “Add.”
From the AI Automatic Detection pop-up, select what you want the software to detect and Redact.
You are also able to select an existing AI Automatic Detection template from the “Load Template” drop-down menu.
Click “Next.”
Choose the shape of the Redaction box you want to place and then select which Redaction or Enhancement effect you want to use.
Select “Next” and repeat this process for each type of object you would like to detect and Redact.
Click “Next”
If you want to save your current selections as a template you can do so by checking the “Save as Template” checkbox and giving it a name.
Click “Apply.”
Click “Save” and in the Watcher Panel on the right side of your Workspace, the Watcher will have appeared.
Use the “Open Input Folder” and “Open Output Folder” icons to see the Watcher Redact in real-time.
Add the images you want to Redact to the input folder, in the Watcher Panel you will see the software acknowledge that there are now files in the input folder and begin the Redaction process.
As images are Redacted, the original files are moved to the Processed folder.
In the Watcher output folder, you will see the fully Redacted copies of the images added to the input folder.
You can also add a folder of images to the input folder and CaseGuard will respect the file structure, adding a folder with the same name to the processed folder. The original folder added to the input folder will be emptied, allowing you to remove it to prevent any
In the output folder, where the images from the original folder have been fully Redacted, they will be stored in a folder with the same name as the original folder.
Using the Watcher is a sure way to streamline your Redaction process and save you time using CaseGuard Studio for image Redaction.
Happy Redacting!
