For years, Donkey Kong's iconic character design barely changed. Then, in 2025, we were introduced to the new DK! In games like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, the character looked totally different, barely recognisable! So in this video, I'll explore why Nintendo decided to change Donkey Kong's design, and why this new look debuted two years early in the Mario movie!
