◼ How should we experience it so as not to hurt others?

Ignatius Loyola said that the source of all evil in the world, the first sin, has its root in the phrase "non serviam"—I will not serve. What often inhibits us from serving others is our own inner hardships and suffering, that is, the pain of the past. According to Sarah Peyton, a method that can help us face this pain and empower us to serve is to become aware of the important needs that were unmet at the time and to embrace them.
