Ever felt like reading is a boring, time-consuming chore?

I used to, too. But that mindset is what's holding you back. I'm breaking down how I went from someone who hated books to becoming completely obsessed with them. This isn't about reading faster or forcing yourself to finish a book. It's about a simple, 3-step process to rewire your brain and fall in love with reading.

Atomic Habits (20% Off Right Now): https://amzn.to/4pkiKKt

Step 1: The Environmental Overhaul. Your first goal isn't to read; it's to get obsessed with the physical objects themselves. Think of it as an environmental change. I'll show you how to acquire as many books as you can, for next to nothing, from local libraries or used bookstores. Then, you're going to place them everywhere. Make it a new habit to pick up a book, but don't worry about reading it. Just pick it up. If you have the urge to open it, go to a random page and read a random sentence. The goal here is to get comfortable with books, not to be intimidated by them.

Step 2: The Consistency Habit. Once you're comfortable, it's time to build consistency. The only goal here is to read one page a day. That's it. You can read more, but the focus is on showing up every single day. This is the stage where you'll find the books that just pull you in, where the pages turn themselves. You'll know you've found a winner when you suddenly look up and you're on page 50.

Step 3: The Obsession. This is where we stop testing the waters and get to work. Your goal is to choose your first book and complete it. I'll share how I did it with my first book, Be Obsessed or Be Average by Grant Cardone. This step is about more than just reading; it's about engaging with the author's mind, highlighting, annotating, and destroying the book to make it your own. And remember, it's okay if you fall behind. The goal is completion, not speed.

Reading is a vital skill. It’s not just about consuming information; it's about internalizing knowledge to enhance your own life. It's about finding books that resonate with who you are and who you're going to become. It's about finding that obsession.
