We need shadows in paintings, and we need darks to create drama and craft form. Today, everything is so well lit. And if you're setting up a still life or an interior, the problem is when it's full of light, it kills the form. The more light sources you have around something, the more you lose the sense of form. In this video I tell you how to adjust your light to get more drama in your pieces.

The colors on my palette:
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Lemon
Cadmium Yellow Medium
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Orange
Cadmium Red Light
Alizarin Permanent
Dioxazine Purple
Ultramarine Blue
Chrome Oxide Green
Phthalo Green
Plus this week I added raw umber and ivory black.
