Join us on an exciting journey through Taipei, where we explore the city’s unique themed 7-Eleven convenience stores and the bustling Ximending walking district which also known as the Harajuku or Shibuya or Taiwan.
We start by visiting a Peanuts (Snoopy) 7-Eleven, complete with adorable decorations and exclusive merchandise. After sipping coffee with Snoopy and browsing Peanuts-themed goods, we head to the Sanrio 7-Eleven in the Ximending area, where we’re greeted by Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, My Melody and other iconic characters. We explore the Sanrio-themed decor, enjoy some tasty snacks, and even find some exclusive merchandise.
Next, we dive into the lively Ximending district, known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic mix of fashion, entertainment, and street food. We discover popular game video arcades, trendy shops, and unique food stalls, indulging in delicious local treats like Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken and traditional Taiwanese desserts.
To wrap up the day, we head to Hama Sushi for some fresh and affordable sushi before making our way back to the hotel. But not before grabbing a few snacks from a local 7-Eleven, including braised tea eggs and roasted sweet potatoes—staples of Taiwanese convenience stores.
