We love throwing shapes at the weekend, but throwing Shapez at work?
We discovered that mobile Shapez were far more relaxing than the dancefloor type when creating this in-engine rush build launch trailer for Playdigious. It let us show off our CGI and Unity skills, too.
It can be tricky sometimes to know what direction to take a trailer with something like a complex mobile puzzler that Shapez undoubtedly can be.
Shapez can literally go on forever, but with assets provided to us by publishers Playdigious, we managed to explain its concept, how to play it, how complex it can become and its relaxing energy in a simple way.
How? Through the time-honoured storytelling tradition of showing rather than telling. Our trailer starts with a simple single shape entering the game’s factory-like conveyer belt, eventually merging with others.
We gradually pan out and show how simple the factory can be to control with the game’s intuitive UI before again panning out to reveal our 3D Unity smartphone, to explain other core gameplay elements and what players can experience themselves.
Downloads from platforms highlighted through calls to action on the trailer’s end slate – and we want to let others around the world know your IP exists and drive downloads, too!
Find out how we can do that for your studio through our creative video editing and marketing services by contacting TAKEOFF today.
