DON'T BUY THIS! ECCPP Wheel Hub from Amazon FAILED after just 404 miles!!! 2012 Chevy Equinox RF
Hi everybody, and welcome to my "stevenofpa" YouTube Channel!
This video shows you what it's like to hear and see this failed wheel bearing from the RF right front wheel position on this 2012 Chev Chevy Chevrolet Equinox 4-door sedan suv cuv crossover vehicle car passenger light truck. Unfortunately the original factory wheel hub failed after only 135,000 miles. but the bearing did not fail, it was only the magnetic ring for the abs sensor that broke. So a new bearing was required. When ordering, a very cheap ECCPP brand model hub 513288 was ordered on Amazon for about $40. but that's why people buy them because they are cheap, however the cheapness ends up coming back to bite you later! In this case, the bearing failed after only a few days and after only 404 miles WOW! That's very bad and terrible, poor quality and workmanship, and too bad that Amazon will ruin its reputation and allow such junk parts to be sold on their website!
So instead, a brand new name brand Tier 1 supplier MOOG Federal Mogul brand model 513288 was ordered from Amazon instead, for about 2x the price around $92, and it was installed, and so far it has been a very good product. Like they say, you get what you pay for, and in this case that is true!
This vehicle operator broke down around 100 miles from home, and had to be picked up by a friendly person and transported to a local train to get a ride home. Then a tow truck had to come and get the car and tow it to a repair shop facility to replace the bearing, because it was wobbling so bad, the car was very unsafe to drive. So, here's a safety warning, don't use these junk parts! Spend the extra money and don't get stranded!
