OpenVAS is an open-source scanner component of Greenbone Vulnerability Management, a software framework that offers vulnerability scanning through several services and tools.
The preferable specs are for a VM:
1. 4 to 8 cores
2. At least 8GB of RAM
3. 64GB of disk space
The installation will take around 50 minutes.
