ESO Is Still My Favorite MMO in 2026 (And Better Than Ever)
Last year, I shared why The Elder Scrolls Online was still my favorite MMO. A lot has changed since then.
ESO has moved beyond the traditional Chapter model and embraced Seasons, bringing new systems like The Night Market, Rumors, Favors, Dynamic Encounters, Challenge Difficulty, and the upcoming Sage's Vault. ZeniMax has also made a huge amount of content free, introduced Tamriel Tomes, launched the Combat Refresh initiative, and renewed its focus on player experience improvements.
In this video, I'm revisiting the core features that made ESO my favorite MMO in the first place, the action combat, evergreen progression, build flexibility, character customization, and housing, to see how they hold up in 2026. I'll also explain why I believe ESO's new direction is setting the game up for its most exciting year yet.
