This video goes deeper into two of Karana CPQ's more advanced configuration capabilities: table-based parameters and subconfigurable (nested) products.

Table parameters let you collect structured, multi-row data as part of a line item configuration — without needing to add a separate product for each row. In the example shown, a data migration product uses a table to capture each data object being migrated, including its type and whether deduplication is required. Each row can independently affect the line item price — so selecting deduplication on multiple objects adds a calculated amount to the total, derived from per-row pricing rules set in the price book.
Columns within a table are fully customizable: dropdowns, text inputs, number fields, checkboxes, and effects-pricing flags. Multiple tables can be added to a single product, and each table can have multiple columns.
Subconfigurable products allow a component within a line item to itself be a configurable product. In the example, a training program added as a component opens its own configuration panel — with the same full range of parameter types available at the top level. The subconfiguration contributes its own resolved price to the parent line item total.

Key highlights:
• Table parameters: multi-row structured data collection within a single line item
• Per-row pricing: each row can independently add a flat amount or percentage to the line total
• Fully customizable table columns: dropdowns, text, number, checkbox, effects-pricing
• Multiple tables supported per product• Subconfigurable products: components that open their own configuration panel
• Subconfiguration supports all parameter types available at the top level
• Subproduct price contributes to parent line item total
• "As configured" pricing display for items with subconfigurations
