In this video we teach you how to install the Lutron Caseta smart dimmer switch and set up the Lutron Caseta System so you can control your smart light switches from your phone.
The Lutron Caseta switches allow you to remotely control your light switches either using your phone, or with a compatible voice assistant like Alexa, Google Home or Siri. The smart light switches connect to your wifi network and will work on both android and apple devices for smart home control.
The Lutron Caseta smart light switches don't require a neutral wire which means that they can be installed even in older homes or homes that don't have a neutral wire in their switch boxes. The smart light switches have 4 buttons an on button, off button, and dimming up and dimming down. On the side of the smart light switches you can also see the current dimming level for the smart light switches.
Lutron Caseta Installation Instructions:
1. Turn off power to light switch you are working on at the circuit breaker
2. Remove light switch cover plate.
3. Remove existing light switch from the junction box, take a picture before removing the wiring from the switch.
4. Wire the new light switch using the existing wiring.
5. Restore power to the light switch at the junction box and confirm functionality.
Now you will need to connect the Lutron Caseta smart switch to the Lutron Caseta hub for smart home control.
6. Download Lutron Castea App and create an account.
7. Plug in Lutron Castea smart hub to outlet, and plug in connection cable to wifi router.
8. Open the app and follow the instructions to connect the Lutron Caseta Hub to the the smart light switch.
9. Congratulations, you can now control your smart light switch from your phone.
