ESP8266 Arduino IDE HowTo
UPDATE: You do not have to select the "programer" anymore. Just select the board. As long as you have the most current version of the Arduino IDE software it selects programer for you!
This explains how to upload your first sketch to the ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE. Thanks to CalumK at calumk.com who's video helped me figure out the right settings in the IDE.
