Disaster Recovery Option for SQL Server FCI using Azure Shared Disk
This video demonstrates how to extend a 2-node cluster in Azure to a 3rd node in a different region. The application in the demo is a simple file server, but this can apply to any clustered application, including SQL Server. SQL Server Enterprise Edition would simply be added as a 3rd node in the cluster. SQL Server Standard Edition can also be used, but the 3rd node would be a standalone instance, or a single node cluster.
