Hey there folks, and welcome to the premier episode of the Monapia Campaign!
New episodes of the Monapia Campaign will be released biweekly on Sundays and Wednesdays at 12:00 PM (Noon). I aim to keep episodes at around 1 hour in length, but allow for a shorter or longer time under the circumstances of up to 10 minutes. So, episodes may normally be as short as 50 minutes or as long as 70 minutes. I also try my best to use my best attempt at a 'classical Latin' pronunciation, which mostly means softening 'v's as 'w's and hardening 'c's as 'k's for proper words (names) that appear to be in Latin. This is based on my college classics professor insisting that this is the most accurate way to reflect how classical Latin was spoken. Whether that's the scholarly consensus or not these days, that's how I like to approach it and it helps immerse me in the game, and at this point I'd actually find it distracting to not pronounce Latin words like this while doing live commentary.
This is a modded series and includes the following mods:
1) Imperator: Invictus
2) INR (Imperator's Navigable Rivers) - Invictus
3) Imperator: Invictus - More Cultural Names
4) 2.0 Better UI
5) No Historic Roads*
No Historic Roads, which is my own mod, is NOT normally compatible with either Invictus or INR. However, I've actually recoded parts of both of those mods to brute force compatibility on the system level. If you want to play with my mod setup, No Historic Roads will not currently appear to work when the overhaul mods are active too - I'd recommend not playing with No Historic Roads if you want to play with Invictus, INR, or both.
I practiced and play-tested this series extensively off camera, as well as on-camera during two livestreams from a few weeks ago:
1) • New Campaign Playtesting - Part 1 | Impera...
2) • New Campaign Playtesting - Part 2 | Impera...
