We know how time-consuming comparing security tools can be. So, we took it upon ourselves to test these scanners and provide results that you can independently verify.
🕹️How we did it
To simulate real-world attack scenarios, we focused on remote detection in Vultr-hosted environments with 167 different vulnerabilities. We evaluated each scanner’s detection capabilities and accuracy.
📊What we found
There were some surprising differences between what tools claim they can detect and their actual performance. Nessus, for example, had a significant gap between its stated capabilities and what it actually found.
