📑SྂUྂMྂMྂAྂRྂYྂ:
In this video, we are going to learn about the table-layout property which defines the algorithm used to lay out table cells, rows, and columns.
📚C͜͡O͜͡N͜͡C͜͡E͜͡P͜͡T͜͡S͜͡ C͜͡O͜͡V͜͡E͜͡R͜͡E͜͡D͜͡:
In CSS, table layout refers to the way HTML tables are displayed on a web page. CSS provides properties and values that allow you to control the layout and styling of tables. The table-layout property is a key aspect of defining how a table should be rendered.
The table-layout property has two possible values:
1. auto:
The browser automatically calculates and sets the width of the table and its columns based on the content.
Column widths are determined by the content in each column.
2. fixed:
The table and column widths are set by the width of the first row of cells or via the CSS properties width and min-width for individual columns.
Columns without a specified width will share the remaining space equally.
✍️🅂🅈🄽🅃🄰🅇:
table-layout: auto|fixed|initial|inherit;
Values:
auto: the default. The browser’s automatic algorithm is used to define how a table’s rows, cells, and columns are laid out. The resulting table layout is generally dependent on the content of the table.
fixed: With this value, the table’s layout ignores the content and instead uses the table’s width, any specified width of columns, and border and cell spacing values. The column values used are based on widths defined on columns or cells for the first row of the table.
inherit: indicates that the value is inherited from the table-layout value of its parent
