Project status calls are an opportunity for Project Managers to provide to stakeholders the status and health of a given project. Done well, it enables stakeholders to become more trusting of a project manager, done poorly, and it can chip away at the stakeholders’ confidence in the project manager.

To feel confident leading a status call, it’s paramount to have a robust project plan that you track against as the input to the project status report. Ensuring you have ways to detect for risks and issues will help as you build your story of the project’s status.
