In today's video, I'm going to teach you how to embed a Spotify playlist on Google Sites, fast and easy! Let's dive right in, so you can have your favorite tunes playing on your site in no time.
First up, let's get you over to Google Sites. If you aren't already there, you'll want to open your web browser and simply type 'Google Sites' into your search bar. When you see the link to Google Sites in your search results, go ahead and click on it. Once you’ve landed on the main page of Google Sites, you'll need to select the site you want to work on from your list of projects. Click on that site to open it.
Now that you're set up in your selected site, let's move to the next step. You'll want to find the 'Insert' option in the menu on the right-hand side of your screen. Click on 'Insert' to ready your page for some new content.
Next, let's head over to Spotify. Open Spotify in a new tab or window, and navigate to the playlist you're eager to share on your site. Once you’ve found your playlist, look for the three little dots, also known as the options menu, often located near the playlist title. Click on these dots, and a dropdown menu should appear. Hover over 'Share' and then select 'Embed playlist'. This will give you the iframe embed code that you will need.
Copy the iframe embed code. It’s important to ensure you’ve copied the entire code, as any missing characters could mean the playlist doesn’t embed properly. So, once that’s done, it's time to return to Google Sites.
Back in Google Sites, make sure you are still in the 'Insert' tab. Here, you will see an option for 'Embed'. Click on this. When you do, you'll notice a couple of options—one of which is 'Embed code'. Click on 'Embed code', and here is where you'll paste the iframe code you copied from Spotify. Make sure it’s all there, and when you’re sure everything looks right, click on 'Next' to proceed.
If everything is correct and good to go, you'll then click on 'Insert' to place your playlist on your site. You might want to take a moment to drag the playlist to your preferred location on the page. If it doesn’t look quite right, most Google Sites allow you to resize and adjust the placement very easily.
