(NOTE: Shareholders and residents of The Aquitania held a very informal pot luck get-together in the park right across from their historic coop last Thursday, September 8. Blessed with perfect weather, it was a lovely evening to mingle with neighbors and meet new shareholders. Resident crooner Michael Smylie obliged a song from Les Miserables turning it into a hymn on the passing that day of Queen Elizabeth II. Resident concert pianist Sean Bennett shared some interesting story on the building’s sound-proofing when it was a luxury hotel during the era of Silent Movies.)
