In this tutorial I demonstrate how to create a cloud front distribution and had a X.509 certificate to the distribution so that your website hosted in an S3 bucket will have https protocol enabled. We will diverge http traffic to https. We create a CNAME record in Route 53 to utilize the domain name. You must have a Route 53 domain name registered, a certificate in certificate manager and an S3 hosted website to follow along exactly. These are covered in previous videos. Finally, we create an A Record in Route 53 to connect the domain name with the CloudFront distribution. I do not secure the S3 bucket with OAI or OAC in this video.
