The Forgotten Role of Pollinators | CNRS Report
In agriculture, humans have always tried to free themselves from nature: by selecting the most productive varieties, by favoring the use of pesticides to limit crop pests, and by favoring varieties that do not depend on pollinating insects for their reproduction. These practices contribute to the decline of bee populations.
A research team is trying to understand the impact of the few pollinators still present in these crops. Do they play a role in agricultural yields and therefore farmers' incomes?
