There are two ways you can record macro - Absolute and relative references.
Absolute reference macro- It just hardcode the cell or range location and executes the macro script on the same location.
Relative reference macro- It takes the currently active cell as the reference and executes the macro script by taking offset of the active cell.
You can create a macro if you want to execute the same set of action again and again. You can also automate your day to day tasks as well.
As a pro, you should effectively use a macro to find the methods and values generated by the script to leverage your GAS script. It helps to improve your productivity as well.
