[English subtitles] Puls: Germans pretend to be refugees for a weekend, part 2
The Red Cross has a weekend event called "On the Run." For 100 Euros, people can go and experience what it is like to be a refugee for 24 hours. In this video, German journalist Sebastian Meinberg pretends to be a 25-year-old Somali woman fleeing from a civil war. He follows human traffickers, but is dismayed to learn they are not entirely sure of the way to the border. He encounters solders who bully them, but the traffickers are able to bribe them, and he and his family escape to a safe house. There are UN workers at the safe house, but there is not enough rice for everyone. Everyone gets a free sausage, but it is made of pork, so they are not allowed to eat it.
