Tekla Structures Custom Component | Static Connection
🧩 Even a relatively simple connection can serve as a solid foundation for building a high-quality custom component.
👨🏫 In this video, I demonstrate the creation of a static Connection custom component in Tekla Structures.
🏗️ The main part is a column made from a square hollow section (SHS). Two I-beams are connected to the top of the column using a set of steel plates, a shim plate, welds, and three separate bolt groups.
1️⃣ This is the first stage of the project. My next step is to transform this static component into a parametric custom component, introduce configurable parameters, and design a custom graphical dialog box for its properties.
〽️ This step-by-step approach makes it possible to evolve a static custom component into a fully functional parametric tool that can be efficiently reused in real-world projects.
