How to Change the Social Share Image Cards for AddEvent Events
Want to control how your event looks when shared online? AddEvent lets you customize the social share image so your event stands out with the right branding and visuals on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
To update the social media preview image for an AddEvent event, follow these steps:
1: Log in to your AddEvent account at addevent.com
2: Click into the Event Details Page of the event you want to customize
3: Scroll down to the Custom Event Page section and click "Custom Templates"
4: Create a new custom template or click into the one you would like to edit
5: Get your publicly accessible URL for your image (if you don't have one, you can upload an image in the event description section and use that URL)
6: To update the Open Graph Image, locate the “og:image” field and swap out the URL. To update the Twitter/X image, locate the “twitter:image” field and swap out the URL.
5: Save your changes and apply your template to your desired event.
Now, when someone shares your event link on social media, your custom image will be displayed, helping your content look polished and on-brand.
