Here's another forgotten entry into the history of Formula One games. This time it's F1 Challenge on the Sega Saturn, an unashamed Arcade thrash done like only Sega could do. It was fully licensed by FOCA, who were responsible at the time for licensing F1 games, yet only features three real world tracks plus three variations of a fictional track called Neo City.
In mid-May I'll be privileged to be heading off to the Atlanta Motorsports Park in the US to take part in Prodigy Week, Racing Prodigy's incredible e2Real project, aiming to take sim racers and gamers into real-world racing. As the oldest entrant with the longest gaming history, I've been looking back at the games that have been part of my journey. Over 40 years there are very few racing games I've not had some fun playing, up to and including Street Kart on iOS that gave me the opportunity to enter.
