Makita’s Track Saw is a Game Changer (Here’s Why)
It's new tool day at How I Do Things DIY! In this woodworking tools overview video I’ll show you why Makita’s track saw is a game changer! (Makita SP6000J) I’ll start off with an unboxing and discuss what comes with the saw. Then I’ll cover the setup of the track saw and extra track. I've even show you how to attached the extra track saw track Then I’ll briefly discuss dust collection. Then I'll give you my thoughts on the Makita SP6000J track saw (review). Honestly, I think this is the best track saw for the money.
Also, I had a great suggestion about improving dust collection on this saw. You can used a piece of painters tape over the blade hole and it collects a lot more dust. I may have to design a snap in plastic piece.
I could have gone with the Festool track saw, but I think this Makita track saw overview will show you that the Makita can do everything just as well and save money.
Festool makes great tools but it's important to do your research and really fine the best woodworking tools for the money. Unless you're already invested in Festool, there might be better woodworking tools for less money. Based off my research this Makita track saw is just as good as the best track saws out there.
