Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel!

In this video, I'm going to show you how to upgrade from Windows 8.1 (64-bit) to Windows 10 (Pro, 64-bit). We'll be using an internet connection for this upgrade (via the web interface), without needing a USB drive or DVD.
We'll be working on a PC with a Core 2 Quad processor, an ASRock G31M-GS motherboard, 4GB of RAM, and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD.

You will need:
A PC with Windows 8.1 installed. The PC hardware must be compatible with both Windows 8.1 and 10 to successfully complete this upgrade.

IMPORTANT: Before proceeding, ensure your PC is compatible with Windows 10 and BACK UP your personal files. An update failure could crash your system.

Activation NOTE:
If Windows 8.1 is already activated with a valid (ORIGINAL) key, upgrading to Windows 10 will automatically activate the system. A new key is not required.
You can also perform a clean install of Windows 10 (by formatting) and, in most cases, entering your ORIGINAL Windows 8.1 key will also work for activation. Although Microsoft announced in 2023 that it would no longer allow Windows 10 activation with Windows 7/8/8.1 keys, it still works on most computers today (ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT GUARANTEED).

However, you must upgrade to the same edition:
Windows 8.1 Home → Windows 10 Home
Windows 8.1 Pro → Windows 10 Pro
Only valid and original OEM or Retail keys will work. Generic, trial, or volume license (KMS) keys will not work. Activation will also not work if Windows 8.1 was activated using "alternative" methods.

Of course, Microsoft may disable this activation method at some point. In that case, you will have no choice but to purchase a valid Windows 10 key.

ERRATA: It IS possible to revert to Windows 8.1 by going to Settings - Update & Security - Recovery - Go back to Windows 8.1, but only within the first 30 days after the upgrade.

I hope you enjoy the video. Feel free to comment. Thank you very much for watching, see you in the next video. Best regards.
