Writing, Lore and Narrative Design in 2021 (Channel Update & New Intro)
My name is Danyal Fryer, a Writer and Narrative Designer with a lot of experience in writing content for businesses, short stories, books, tabletop RPGs and video games – which is why I created this new channel intro / channel update to talk about why I want to focus more on writing, lore and narrative design in 2021.
I made this channel originally focusing on writing tips and advice, but some of my most successful videos have been visual essays on different concepts explored within fiction.
In order to stay true to my roots, and my passions, I am planning on releasing a lot more content related to Narrative Design for Games, Lore videos covering world-building and history, and other such ideas and concepts that go into the thought processes of creative writers building engaging stories for their books, roleplaying sourcebooks and adventures, and the narratives, character backgrounds and more for their video games, especially RPGs.
I’ll be sharing my thoughts and ideas behind the lore, as well as sharing my experience in narrative designing for your own projects.
This will involve talking head videos such as this one, other visual essays, interviews with creators and writers, tips and advice, gameplay reviews of games I’ve tested, roleplaying sessions when I get them up and running again, and eventually live streams where I play through RPGs and games where I’ll comment on the Narrative Design while answering your questions.
