This work consists of three elements:
Bread
My teacher Fred from the New School of Cinema where I am studying right now gave a task to shoot a film or scene on any topic in one day. That time I was impressed by the story “Bread” by Wolfgang Borchert. I imagined myself as the main heroine and wanted to stage the story from the point of view of the heroine. I have always been interested in a women’s unconditional love which was clearly developed by Wolfgang Borchert.
In the process of film shooting I was a director. It was not easy to explain the tasks to actors. In my team there were two lampmen, director assistant and cameraman. We tried to create night light in the apartment the preparation of which took us about 4 hours. Having been inspired by the eternal topic of relationship between men and women, I wanted to show how spirit of a man and woman is demonstrated in complicated life situations in this work.
Mirror
This video is based on the idea to show a thin borderline between body and soul. Why the main character is exactly a man? Because nowadays not only women but also men are concerned with their physical perfection. I was surprised how many people chase for doll beauty and wanted to demonstrate it in the video. The main idea underlined in it is the importance to understand that physical level cannot be ideal without spiritual perfection. Spiritual beauty can be seen without plastic surgeries on the face.
Loneliness
In this work I tried to create a portrait of a person and to show one day in life of an ordinary elderly woman. I was motivated by the life of a lonely 80-year-old woman who I knew. In spite of the age and health conditions, she remains to be a woman and tries to live each day of her life with joy. This is a documentary shooting-observation targeted to a wide audience.
