There are a lot of settings on a drill, and in order to use the tool properly, you need to know what settings you’re using for what you’re doing.
The hammer symbol, is hammer mode. Use this mode when going through concrete bricks, rock, or other masonry.
The drillbit symbol, is drilling mode. This is the strongest and fastest method your drill has to drill a hole in anything that is not masonry.
The numbers on the rotating dial for how fast and powerful you want to set screws and fasteners. The lower the number, the slower and less powerful. Don’t use the drillbit mode for this as you will risk damaging the material.
The 1 and 2 toggle switch settings, 1 is low speed with high torque, 2 is high speed with low torque. This depends on what you’re drilling through, drilling with and some of what your personal preference is.
Hope this helps 👍
